Research Paper Proposal
My research paper is going to be about food, and the topic i chose was prison food. I chose this topic because i have wittnessed prison food myself, during my incarceration at western kentucky correctional complex. Im not going to say that all the meals were horrible. But the quantity was definitly not a enough for a grown man. On the other hand some days i would go to the chow hall and see what they was having and walk straight out because the meals were uneditable. I no we our not suppose to get the best food, but some of that food i wouldnt feed to my dawgs.
I mean like the meal i hated probably the most was this shit they called stir fry which tasted horrible and looked even worse every time that was the meal i would trade it off for the desert which usually was just a cookie. I mean some days i couldnt even go to sleep from hunger pains. If i didnt have my state job where i get maybe 12.00 a month i probably would have starved to death. I used that money to buy noodles to last me threw the month. But usually it didnt last threw the month.
One thing they do is give you free popcorn on fridays i guess thats a plus. I have reseached about this topic and found lots of different point of views. But for the majority of them say this aramarks fault, im not going to say that because the DOC gave them the contract they are just providing the service. But there are lots things they can do to help improve on prison meals. first by giving more quantity so that inmates dont starve, and second by upgrading the quality atleast stop making everything consist of turkey. I think this is going to be a very interesting paper wish me luck.
