Narrative about topics

I am in the food group, some of the different topics we came up with were food in the prison system, organic foods, food advertisement, and food in foreign countries. To me the topic i like the most is food in the prison system., because i have experienced it first hand and it is horrible. If u don't have people looking out for u on the outside with money then more then likely u aren't going to starve from the meals they serve. When i was at Western Kentucky Correctional Complex i had to survive off of the meals that i was provided.

They give u three meals a day breakfast is usually cereal, and some type of cake or pancakes. Lunch usually is a bologna sandwich and chopped carrots. Dinner is always horrible and it is never enough to fill u up. With these meals there is no way for u to maintain good health while u are incarcerated so there for u have to adapt to the meals and spend money on the canteen which is sky high and most inmates don't have anyone to send them money from the outside.

I chose this topic because i really feel like they need to improve on the meals they provide for inmates. Cause they don't care if u die from starvation in prison. They will just sit there and laugh at u and watch u die. Aramak is making  lots of money for providing the doc inmates and they are feeding the inmates old food and the cheapest shit they can find. And keeping the money that is meant to be spent on inmates meals. I look forward to finding out more information about this situation hopefully it will get worked. Just because people commit crimes doesn't mean they not be provided with etiquette food.

My Life And The That Came Along With It

The story of me has its ups and downs just like everybody else. I was born here in lexington ky in may of 1984, in a small house on york street. I grew up with my two brothers and the oldest my sister latoya. She has had brain damage since i was two years old but we never treated her any different. Me and my brothers cori and waun stayed in some trouble, the first time i went to juvenile i was five years old. Me and my brothersand two other friends buglarized, and vandalized a nice house. I will never forget the look on my moms face when she seen her five year old son in the back of a police cruiser.

I grew up always being able to depend on my brothers, and all the kids in the neighbor hood use to tell me your brothers aren't always gonna be there. I use to just look at them and laugh, and tell myself we are always gonna be together. But years later i found out what they was saying was true. When i was fourteen years old my brother cori started to have really bad ceazers, and he very seldom took his medicane like he was suppose to. After about a year goes by of this behavior he has a major ceazer one that almost took his life. He stayed in the hospital for about eight months, the doctors told us he would never be the same again me at such a young age really didnt understand what that meant. Still until this day brother is still recovering slowly but surely he just recently had his first son.

Now for my oldest brother Waun he took on a life of crime and never looked back. He spent more time of his life in jail then anything else. But in 1998 he made a decision that would change his life forever. He commited murder at the age of 18. He was sentenced to twenty one years 85% His release date is set for 2016. The saddest part of this is we havent seen each other face to face since 1999 i was 15 years old.

My purpose to this story is i guess what them guys was telling me back then really did happen i lost my brothers. We may never have that bond again. I regret alot of decisions i have made in my life, but none more than turning my back on my brothers. I feel like i took our love and trust for one another for granted.

THE COMPARISON BETWEEN COLLEGE AND PRO FOOTBALL

I like college football over pro football for lots of reasons, such as i feel like in college football they have more passion for the game. They are really out there playing just to be able to play the sport. But with pro football some players are just playing for the money are not giving one hundred percent like they were in college or high school. I beleive most pro players still have love for the game but its mostly those whom are still trying to make a name for themselves. In college football the players are trying to make a name for themselves as well, but they are also playing the sport that they love so they are also playing for their teams.

 Also in the pros u here lots of players crying about their contracts, when their getting paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to play the sport that they so called love. But in all reality there are lots of people that would love to just be able to go out there and play for free. I recently watched the pro bowl and sit there and only watched most of the players only give twenty percent through out the game. It really showed that its not about the game anymore its about the money. As within college football you never see the players take a game off they play hard damn near every down. College games are a lot more exciting to watch to me because theirs lots more teams. I love the SEC i believe it is the toughest conferance in college football.

  Also conferance play in the pros is not as meaningful as in college. They dont play as many division

games as they do conference games in college. The conference games are so competitive u really see all the

teams turn their game up a notch. Theres only one thing i see the pros has over college and that is the super bowl. Thats a game where i can really see the players truly playing for a championship i mean they are truly playing hard as a team. Such as in college the national championship game they are very competative but not as much as the super bowl. The NFL does lots of charities to such as NCAA does not have very many to my knowledge.
